Even minor surge voltages can cause damage to electrical equipment in the building or to the wallbox. Repairs and replacement equipment are costly. Therefore, when the cable enters the building, it is mandatory to install the appropriate surge protection in order to comply with the normative requirements and protect the electrical system in the building.

The AC SPD box with integrated PUSH IN connection technology ensures fast connection of the cables to the surge protection and offers high flexibility for use in PV systems and charging stations. It also reliably protects data lines from overvoltage.

Ready-to-install AC surge protection

The AC SPD box is a ready-to-install solution to reliably protect both charging stations from 11-22kW and PV systems against surges. Depending on the variant, the solution is equipped with AC surge protection type II or type I/II, which can be optionally expanded with surge protection for the communication interface. The compact design with IP65 and a temperature range of -25 to 50 °C is very suitable for outdoor use.
