The proven surge protection devices of the VPU series are now also available in variants with integrated fuses. This eliminates the need for an additional fuse before the SPD. The combined type II+III surge protection devices have one back-up fuse per protective path and can be used universally in power distribution systems. High-performance surge protection for the North American market

According to NFPA 79, surge protection products must ensure voltage limitation according to the insulation coordination. This requirement is met by devices of the VARITECTOR PU AC US series. They are UL listed, which includes the requirements of NFPA 79. The product series has been specially adapted to the North American market. In addition to the requirements of UL 1449, it also meets the EN 50539-11 standard and can therefore be applied worldwide.

The supplementary VARITECTOR PU AC type I module was designed as a surge protection device for AC networks with a nominal voltage of 800 V AC. It is especially suitable as a surge protection device for Huawei SUN 2000 and PID 2000 inverters. The dedicated 3+MOV design ensures safe operation with PV inverter systems up to Uc 950 V.

VARITECTOR PU AC type I+II lightning and surge protection devices are leakage current-free and particularly compact. They can be used in the pre-metering and post-metering range in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4100 and meet the requirements for Type I and II. All devices are energy-coordinated and meet the performance classes T1+T2+T3 according to IEC/EN 61643-11 and VDE 0675-11 with a protection level up to ≤ 1.5 kV. Application-oriented product configurations for different network types are available.

According to the specifications of DIN VDE 0100-443 and -534, surge protection is an obligatory component of every energy supply – especially in building infrastructures. Surge protection, therefore, has to be provided for commercial and private buildings. The series connection of varistor and spark gap guarantees leakage current free protection between the line conductors as well as for the protective earthing conductor.

Due to its width of only 47 mm, the ZPA module can also be combined with 2 SLS switches. All requirements of the utility companies are met. Tool-free installation increases safety and efficiency.

Our compact Type I/II surge protection modules for 3-phase power supply networks are ideally suited for use in building infrastructures and can be mounted on 40 mm busbars. They enable direct connection of the busbar with a separate PE connection and combine Type I and Type II arresters for lightning and surge protection in a single product on only 47 mm. The optional additional voltage tap and the remote monitoring output increase the added value for many applications.

Product variants with an impulse discharge current of 7.5 and 12.5 kA allow an application oriented selection of products.

An optional additional voltage tap with PUSH IN connection allows devices such as a modem to connect directly, without expanding the 40 mm busbar system.
